Jennifer Kubik Season 1, Episode 1: A Creative Aging Conversation with Jennifer Kubik

The debut episode features Jennifer Kubik, a Creative Aging specialist, former Think 360 Arts team member, and now a music therapist dedicated to expanding access to meaningful creative experiences for older adults. Drawing from her background in arts education and performance, Kubik shares how creative engagement can enhance well-being, combat isolation, and nurture social connection later in life.
The conversation explores the history and growth of the Creative Aging movement, its current relevance, and its deeply human impact. The episode also highlights Think 360 Arts’ own Creative Aging program, which has flourished since 2016 and now reaches thousands of older adults across Colorado—in senior communities, libraries, low-income housing, and beyond. Together, Fondness-McGowan and Kubik reflect on how the arts challenge ageism and support personal growth at every stage of life.
Whether you’re a teaching artist, community leader working with older adults, caregiver, or simply curious about the powerful intersection of art and aging for yourself, this podcast offers heartening conversations and real-world wisdom.
