History of the Institute for Creative Teaching

2025 marks the 36th year of the Institute for Creative Teaching (ICT), formerly named the Aesthetic Education Institute of Colorado. Think 360 Arts developed this professional learning program in collaboration with Dr. Bruce Uhrmacher of University of Denver, emphasizing CRISPA and Aesthetics. Since 2024, Think 360 Arts has collaborated with the University of Northern Colorado’s College of Performing and Visual Arts to offer ICT. Aligned with this transition, the program now centers on an annual theme relative to contemporary teaching strategies.

The program existed in many formats over the years and currently takes place over three consecutive days during the summer. ICT is open to educators of all disciplines and settings, with the goal of helping them create more transformational and inspiring experiences in the classroom, no matter the content.
