Residency for grades Pre-K through 12th
Multi-media workshop designed to encourage positive culture and reinforce arts and literature standards based upon Colorado Common Core standards. Participants will utilize sound arts, creative writing, and rhythm exploration to encourage strengths-based problem solving and positive coping mechanisms. K.O.S. series exists in many specific demographic-based modalities for parties interested.

Participants will interact with popular social justice tools (ladder of inference, 4 I’s of oppression, etc.) through creative exercises designed to increase mindfulness and self-efficacy especially in arenas of social interaction/equity.

Assembly or classroom based workshop harnessing real-time sound bites and samples, attendees will create a song representing school/community designated themes (ie; identity, self-esteem, conflict, etc.). Participants will utilize free writing, vocal expression and rhythm exploration culminating in a final audio production/performance.
