Zoe Carlson is a dedicated arts administrator bringing experience in curatorial practice, arts education and nonprofit management. She joins the team from Chicago, where she worked as the Office Manager for a nonprofit community art center providing art instruction for all ages in a wide variety of media. Prior to this, her graduate research brought her to the Peruvian Andes, where she had the privilege of working with master artisans in a nonprofit weaving cooperative and fair trade art gallery. Today, Zoe’s passion for the arts is driven by the desire to connect people across cultures, geography, socioeconomic status and perceived differences to create authentic connections, facilitate personal growth and build community.
Zoe holds a BA in History of Art from Cornell University, and an MA in Modern and Contemporary Art History from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where she focused on fiber and textiles in Latin American art.
