Gayle is an artist whose work incorporates found and organic materials as texture within acrylic paintings. She spent 13 years working in a gallery in Colorado Springs specializing in 3rd Relief, a style that continues to influence her artistic practice. Her creative process often begins with hiking and exploring, gathering inspiration from the natural world before returning to the studio to create.
In addition to her studio practice, Gayle teaches drawing and acrylic classes for artists of all ages. The Woodland Park Library invited her to participate in its Creative Aging program, drawing on both her artistic background and her passion for bringing people together.
Gayle is passionate about collaborating with nonprofits and supporting community-based fundraising efforts. She has owned an art gallery while managing two others and has facilitated a variety of fundraising events, including arts festivals and seasonal activities for the City of Woodland Park. She also organizes a monthly art show at Reserve Our Gallery and founded the first “Town Gallery.”
Gayle received her training in Pennsylvania and holds a BFA in Communication Design from Kutztown University. Whether through art, education, fundraising, or community events, her goal is to find the best way to work collaboratively with others and help bring their projects and ideas to success.
