Andrea Rossi is a Colorado-based comedian, herbalist, and artist, or as her grandma likes to call her, “broke.” She’s opened for Jamie Wolf, Abby Govindan, and Ever Mainard, won the 2025 Roast of Durango, and held 2025 residencies at Broadway Comedy Club and Greenwich Comedy Club in NYC. She co-founded Sick Bae, a sketch team by and for folks with chronic illness and disability, and Durango Comedy, a comedy production company for the Four Corners. She also writes Laughter in Progress, a Substack about the comedy creative process.
In the classroom, Andrea uses stand-up, storytelling, and comedic writing to help students reclaim their voice and speak from their authentic point of view. She believes leadership and creative expression both begin with honest self- examination, and she teaches from a posture of humility rather than authority, modeling the vulnerability she asks of her students. Drawing on her experience in the chronic illness and disability community, Andrea’s approach is inclusive and accessible, meeting each person where they are and building the kind of trust that lets people take creative risks. She is especially committed to young people and other groups whose voices have been pushed to the margins, and she sees comedy as a tool for autonomy, connection, and claiming space in the world.
