Dear Think 360 Arts for Learning Friends,
Happy New Year! I am thrilled to introduce myself as the new Executive Director of Think 360 Arts for Learning as we officially kick off a celebration of our 60th anniversary in 2023. Since our founding in 1963, Think 360 Arts has collaboratively built community, advanced equity, and inspired creativity with Coloradoans of all ages across the state through world-class arts education. In my first month on the team, I am in awe of the work of our staff and teaching artists (past and present), our board of directors, and our community of supporters to reach this remarkable milestone – together!
I joined the Think 360 Arts team because of my belief in a vision of access to the transformative benefits of arts education for all Coloradoans. It resonated strongly with my work over the past 25+ years in providing equitable access to the arts and advocating for art and artists. I am honored to carry out our mission with an amazing team, guided by our values: equity, diversity, inclusion & accessibility, creativity & delight, and learning & curiosity.
I am grateful (and lucky!) to build on the immensely strong foundation laid down by our most recent Executive Director Jennifer Olson, and to continue efforts to realize a big goal of building resilient communities through equitable access to arts learning state-wide. We know that participatory arts activities can improve mental health and social connection. In more ways than ever before, our communities – large and small – need the benefits of the vital programs we offer.
Whether you have volunteered, attended one of our creative events, made a donation, taught, facilitated, or benefited from one of our programs, shared a social media post, or cheered us on in any way, you are an important part of our work and my hope for the future. Think 360 is celebrating 60 wonderful years of positive impact through the arts – and we truly could not have reached this point without all of you!
