Mix your Media – unique prints

Mix your Media – unique prints

Workshop or Residency for grades 3rd through 12th

Students will begin with creating a simple matrix like scratchfoam or linoleum, and printing a small edition of prints that all look similar. Working from these, students will then alter the prints by drawing, watercolor, sewing, or collaging other elements onto them, developing a series of unique prints. The result is a mixed media print that transforms an edition of prints into a series of entirely different pieces.
Imagery can integrate various subject matter, and range anywhere from nature, science, mathematics, health topics, technology, language, etc.
Content can be modified to work with curriculum and lesson plans.
