The Voice of Comics

Residency for grades 8th through 12th

A dive into the history of comic books and how they can be used to bring awareness to environmental, historical and cultural issues. Students will learn how to read not only the story but the artwork and tones. At the end of class, students will be asked to create a short comic on an issue they see within the world and come up with an action plan to follow the awareness that the comic art would bring. Recommend residency 3-6 weeks
