The Dance of the Eye: Discovering Visual Elements in Photography

Workshop for grades 5th through 12th

Students experience a presentation and discussion about visual qualities that comprise excellent photography. Students will be given a framework to become excellent in photography as well as a challenge on what to do with their images.

Each student will write his/her own brief textbook that illustrates photography concepts, terms and goals. It provides the framework for students to pursue excellence with an understanding of how a camera functions and how each creative mind can create accomplished images. This is an informational presentation which is reliant on a dialogue between students and guest artist.
