The Artist Lens: Latino Identity, History and Culture
Performance for grades K through 12th
Molina takes students on a journey through Latin American history. In this inspiring presentation, Molina focuses on: 1) the historical contributions of Indigenous and Latino cultures of the Americas, 2) the American civil rights period, in particular the Chicano Movement (Mexican-American civil rights movement), and 3) what it means to be Latino now and in the future.
All presentations consist of a mixture of brief lectures, poetry reading, spoken word and lyrical performances, student interaction and Q&A.
