The Artist Lens: Diversity and Social Justice
Performance for grades K through 12th
In an age in which “diversity” and “social justice” have become buzz words and boxes to check, Molina Speaks takes us on an artistic journey that unpacks what these words truly mean. What does it mean to live by these principles, and why we should continue to demand space for these ideals in a democratic society? This presentation includes reflections on identity, education, technology, social media, food justice, civil rights and humanity in the digital age.
All presentations consist of a mixture of brief lectures, poetry reading, spoken word and lyrical performances, student interaction and Q&A.
