Residency for grades Pre-K through 12th

The residency helps students use their hands and bodies to create story. This six week part-time residency encourages students to learn, craft, and retell stories each week with a slightly different focus. One story is character driven, another has a clear conflict that will be illustrated during the session. As the program progresses, students will learn the basics of story structure as the elements of character, conflict, and resolution are explored and discussed. The residency ends with a storytelling festival where the students take the role of villagers telling stories that they have written to their King.
