Photo-based hand-drawn prints
Workshop or Residency for grades 6th through 12th
We will work from Xerox copies of photographs, images or drawings.
Trace monotypes, or transfer drawing, is a method of transferring ink to paper directly with the touch of a tool and the artist’s hand. Subtle, immediate, mark-making and line-work capture the nuance of this printing technique. The result is a unique and interesting hand-drawn print, no need for a printing press. Multiple images can be created of the same image, adding mixed media to create variety between each print.
Imagery can integrate various subject matter, and range anywhere from nature, science, mathematics, health topics, technology, language, etc.
Content can be modified to work with curriculum and lesson plans.
