Wire Circus
Residency for grades K through 12th
The workshop begins with continuous-line drawing. Students write their name in cursive writing and repeat it in wire, taking them from two-dimensional thinking to three-dimensional thinking. Tim guides them in imagining the circus, all its diversities, including the acts and characters, the props, the animals, etc. The workshop culminates in a performance (potentially for parents) with popcorn, tight-rope walkers and human cannonballs.
