Hula and Tahitian Dance

Performance for grades K through 12th

Children will hear the stories and dance with their hands, as Rooshana performs Hula and Tahitian dances. Boys may try the frigate bird hopping step, as they learn a warrior dance. Girls don sarongs and dance the Hukilau, a song about fishing. All students will have a chance to participate, as Rooshana performs native dances of Hawai’i and Tahiti that honor nature, ancestors and loved ones.
