Songs of the African Diaspora

Workshop for grades 3rd through 12th

This workshop is high energy and super fun. Jeff combines choruses from his songs and favorite hooks and adds a mixture of Congolese music. Students will be dancing and singing, with very specific goals set to get the class to hit the energy level that is required to bring the funk to this music. Students of all ages will open up with to the music, and sing the songs for years to come. This workshop is great for providing connections, focus, can be tied in with mathematics, and gets students out of their comfort zone, while practicing not taking themselves too seriously!
