History of Colorado Arts Partner (CAP) Grants

We are pleased to announce that the the Colorado Arts Partner (CAP) Grants program has expanded to become the “Equity in Arts Learning.” This collaborative grant aims to be a catalyst for transformative change in ECE-12 arts education throughout Colorado. In 2014, Colorado Creative Industries and Think 360 Arts for Learning joined forces to launch a new collaborative grant-making program: Colorado Arts Partnership (CAP) Grants. The purpose of CAP Grants was to provide schools throughout Colorado with the opportunity to apply for grant money ($2,000 – $5,000) for collaborative programming with a community artist that sparks innovation, creativity, and joy. Art forms included visual arts, music, dance, theater, performance art, storytelling, and poetry, among many others.

In line with our efforts to engage Coloradans of all ages in innovative arts programming that inspires creativity, builds community, and advances equity, we encouraged applicants to consider equity and access when identifying populations to serve and artists/organizations to partner with.  CAP Grants are a great method for bringing in artists to enhance social emotional learning, arts integration, student mental health, school-wide projects, and offerings that students ordinarily would not have access to.

We welcome you to review past projects HERE.
