Gotta Story to Tell
Take an imaginary trip to an African village and sing songs, dance and learn life lessons through the animation of African Folk Tales. From Anansi the Spider to Uncle Remus, form Egyptian Queens to Nigerian Kings, these tales will delight and teach through the ancient art of stories, riddles, dance and song.

Workshop

Your Story
This workshop will guide you in creating "your story" through descriptive words, games and storyboarding. By using well known folk tales, participants will learn to use gestures and facial expressions to keep the story moving with excitement. Add some drama skills and you will become a great storyteller.

Artist-In-Residence
The ancient art of Storytelling allows everyone's belief, concepts, ideas and life experiences to be shared and handed down from one generation to the next. For Santemu, storytelling's direction is centered around self expression and the responsibility of upholding those values that sustain a harmonious social structure. It is important that these stories are shared. Santemu uses ancient stories from Africa and builds in modern themes to make the stories relevant, engaging and educational.
