Actor, poet and filmmaker, Gwylym Cano has brought theatre to communities throughout Colorado, including Idalia, Castle Rock’s IB program, the migrant communities of the San Luis Valley, and in-crisis situations in suburban and inner-city schools. An expert in the art of digital filmmaking, Cano teaches middle and high school students camera and directing techniques to create short films and/or documentaries. A published poet, Cano shares his work and inspires students to write their own poems. Cano has also taught numerous Aesthetic Education Institutes and delivered professional development in-service programs, providing teachers with artistic tools to enrich curriculum and engage students of all ages.
