WHAT:
This nationally recognized professional development program for educators, artists, and administrators will:
• Help you ensure your students are equipped with the 21st century skills they’ll need – skills in innovation, communication, collaboration and critical thinking.
• Reignite your passion for teaching and find renewed joy in the classroom.

Throughout the week participants will:
• Study with Dr. Bruce Uhrmacher (AEIC Stage 1) and Dr. Kent Seidel (Leadership Strand), two of the country’s leading experts in aesthetic education.
• Join in hands-on workshops with professional Colorado teaching artists.
• Work with Arts Integration Specialists – educators who share ways to connect artistic experiences and their application in the classroom.
• Upon completion, all participants will receive a certificate confirming completion and credit hours.

AEIC Stage 1 for Educators: June 15 – 23, 2010 (excluding the weekend)
AEIC Leadership Strand for Administrators: June 12, 15,16,17 and 26, 2010


WHO: Every year 50-100 participants attend the Institute including: Pre-K-12th grade classroom teachers, arts/P.E. teachers, administrators, paraprofessionals, and parents.

WHERE: The Ricks Center, University of Denver campus

COST:
Early-bird rate = $400 (before March 31, 2010)
Regular rate = $700
50% of payment is expected with the application. 50% is due by June 1, 2010. Partial scholarships are available and will be determined on an as-needed basis.

Credit
3 graduate level credits are available through the University of Denver Morgridge College of Education at a cost of $720.75.

All participants will receive a certificate confirming completion and credit hours.
